LEAH ELIZABETH

Makeup of any kind is a tool to be used to magnify the beauty seen by both the eye and the heart!

I am a microblading and permanent makeup artist. I like to create a fresh daytime look for my clients that enhances their natural beauty.  My clients want an effortless, polished look that is sweat-proof, waterproof, and allows them to truly say "I woke up like this!"

How did you get into cosmetic tattooing?
I was working in the medical field as a marketing manager and also performing PRP facials, microneedling, Botox and fillers.  I was looking for other services to offer my clients then a friend asked me to be her model for a microblading training and I was fascinated by it.  I took a 6 day intensive class where I learned machine work and microblading.  I went on to apprentice for 6 months to get as much hands on experience as I could before going on my own and I haven't looked back since!

What inspires you as an artist?
Traveling, the incredible work of other PMU artists, makeup artists, and most of all...my clients!

What kind of cosmetic tattoos do you look forward to doing?
I'm obsessed with lips and love doing ombre lips. Lips don't have to be a solid monochromatic color or look like permanent makeup in the 1980's.  I can create a subtle color wash (lip tint or blushing) or the ombre effect which is darker at the lip line and moves to a lighter shade in the middle of the lip.  I believe lips will be the next big trend in cosmetic tattooing!
Ombre brows are also my new fave...these are becoming more popular as some clients want a dramatic brow which can't be created with microblading alone!

Is there a cosmetic tattoo you haven't done yet that you are dying to do?
My ultimate goal is to get into paramedical tattooing and scalp micropigmentation and add those into my menu of services.  I love the idea of using my talents not only to enhance someone else's beauty but to truly help someone whether it is nipple reconstruction post mastectomy or scar camouflage on a burn victim.  There is so much more that can be done with tattooing that truly helps people and, at the end of the day, that's what is truly most important to me.

What do you do when you are not at work?

I am slightly obsessed with my English and French Bulldogs, Trixie and Moxie. They are the loves of my life! My time off definitely includes lots of cuddle time with them.

The gym is my home away from home, but if it is sunny you will probably find me on Lake Austin wake-surfing.  I also enjoy reading, traveling and spending quality time with the special people in my life.
